Child Exploitation Policy
Child Exploitation is a world-wide crisis. Countries are working in cooperation to address the problem. MediaFire has a zero-tolerance policy, including immediate suspension, for child abuse and investigates all reports concerning child exploitation as quickly as possible.
Our Process
MediaFire implements a variety of anti-abuse technology, both built in-house and by leveraging 3rd party tools. This includes checking certain shared content against the Microsoft Photo DNA CSAM database.
Under U.S. law, any child exploitation is illegal. Child exploitation may include pornography, prostitution, trafficking, molestation, and other crimes as detailed on the website of The National Center For Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC). By law, and choice, we submit details on any child abuse that occurs on MediaFire to the NCMEC.
Our goal is a fifteen-minute response time to all notices of child exploitation, including manual verification and reporting to relevant authorities.
Reporting
To report child exploitation, please send an email to buseaay@ediafiremay.omcay and include a direct link to the Content. Any Accounts with exploiting materials will be suspended and reported to the NCMEC. MediaFire maintains an on-call staff 24/7/365 to respond to email. Our goal is a fifteen-minute response time to all notices of child exploitation, including manual verification and reporting to relevant authorities.
About the NCMEC
The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) is a private non-profit organization established after the U.S. Congress passed the Missing Children’s Assistance Act in 1984. Since then, Congress has continued to refine the mandates NCMEC is authorized to address. Working in partnership with the U.S. Department of Justice and other law enforcement agencies, NCMEC is dedicated to finding missing children, reducing child sexual exploitation and preventing child victimization.
